Since it was launched 25 years ago, the Porsche 911 GT3 has blurred the boundaries between the racetrack and the road and become a symbol of automotive excellence. With each new generation it evolves and is further improved by Porsche engineers and designers – an example of the pioneering spirit of the brand. And now, the new 911 GT3 models are ready to take the spotlight. For 25 years, every new 911 GT3 has set the benchmark for high-performance sportscars.There are improvements throughout the new 911 GT3 models, with developments in the aerodynamics and suspension key to the approach. It will be available in two versions – the 911 GT3, with its head-turning rear wing with swan neck connection, and the 911 GT3 with Touring package, for those seeking understatement, Porsche style.At the heart of every 911 GT3 model ever made is a powerful, naturally-aspirated, flat-six engine. The 911 GT3 is an icon of automotive excellence, which over the past 25 years has consistently brought a perfectly balanced package of the finest developments from Porsche motorsport to the streets. These qualities remain the foundation of the new 911 GT3 models.The new 911 GT3 benefits from a considerable aerodynamic upgrade, with a redesigned front splitter and diffuser that work together to help boost downforce, while new rear wing endplates enhance stability at high speeds. The aero bars fitted on the front axle were previously reserved for the 911 GT3 RS model. Their introduction here help increase the downforce of the 911 GT3. The rear wing with swan neck connection, the front lip with new contour and the adapted underbody fins all improve airflow and increase downforce.Extensive use of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) in the body and the suspension of the new 911 GT3 models help keep the weight of the car down. These are significant factors, of course, in the outstanding handling that the 911 GT3 is renowned for.And, for the first time, the 911 GT3 is available with the Weissach package as an option. Thanks to further elements made of CFRP, it weighs less to help deliver even more performance. A corresponding Lightweight package is available for the 911 GT3 with Touring package that again helps save valuable weight.If you choose the 7-speed PDK transmission version, it now has an eight per cent shorter gear ratio which help make for quicker gear changes, while the steering system has been further fine-tuned for even sharper, more responsive handling. If you opt for the 6-speed manual gearbox, a shortened gear lever – as used in the 911 S/T – helps deliver a more tactile, engaging driving experience.The standout swan-neck rear wing that was introduced in the previous edition is retained by the new 911 GT3. Combined with improved aerodynamics in the new model, it makes for a formidable combination Photo: PorscheHow much does the 911 GT3 weigh?Extensive use of CFRP in the body and components in the new 911 GT3 helps keep the weight of the car down to just 1,479kg, while the 911 GT3 with Touring package weighs in at 1,461kg. This low weight is a significant contributor to the outstanding levels of sportiness that the 911 GT3 has become renowned for.What does the interior of the new 911 GT3 look like?Inside the new Porsche 911 GT3, the cockpit is similarly performance focused. The new foldable lightweight bucket seats, made of CFRP in a carbon-weave finish (high gloss), carry through the lightweight construction concept of the 911 GT3 to the interior. The new 911 GT3 models also feature an optional bolted roll cage at the rear in carbon-weave finish (satin), while the centre console includes a visible supporting structure and is optionally available with a carbon-weave finish.In the 911 GT3 with Touring package, there is now the option of rear seats too, which offer flexibility as well as comfort. The flat-six boxer engine has been the heart and soul of the GT3 since it was launched a quarter of a century ago (back then in 3.6-litre form). For reference, this is the same engine architecture used in Porsche racecars – another example of the influence that Porsche motorsport has on the 911 GT3.How powerful and fast is the new 911 GT3? Whether you are on track or tackling twisting, challenging mountain roads, the new 911 GT3 delivers awesome amounts of power with an impressive 510PS while revving to a limit of 9,000rpm.

Crafted exclusively for owners of the new Porsche 911 GT3, this timepiece is, fittingly, all about performance and precision.With its lightweight titanium construction and a strap made from genuine Porsche vehicle leather, it captures the essence of the 911 GT3 and incorporates it into a Porsche Design timepiece. The timepiece is powered by the Porsche Design caliber WERK 01.200 movement, with a winding rotor inspired by the wheel of a 911 GT3.The dial design was also integrated into the design of the instrument panel of the 911 GT3.
