Porsche has unveiled the 911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring, a special edition created to celebrate the circuit’s centenary in 2027. Limited to 100 cars for customers in Germany, it combines distinctive Green Hell-inspired details with an optional Manthey Kit

• The Porsche 911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring is a special 911 GT3 created to mark the 100th anniversary of the Nürburgring race circuit in 2027. Just 100 examples will be built, available exclusively to customers in Germany

• The model made its public debut at the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland at the Nürburgring from 15-16 August 2026

• Customers have a choice of White or GT Silver Metallic colours, both paired with a green wrap across the front section and rear trim. Details include a customisable start number (0-999) in a graffiti-style typeface and historic Nürburgring circuit outlines on the rear wing in gold

• The interior features a rear roll cage in Green and further details such as a steering wheel mode switch with the words ‘Grüne Hölle’ – Green Hell, in English

• The limited-edition model also includes an optional Manthey Kit with a colour-coordinated aerodynamics package with modified suspension and optimised brakes that helps raise the car’s downforce

• Customers in Germany can order the car from September 2026, with deliveries beginning during the Nürburgring’s anniversary year in 2027

In 2027, one of the most famous stretches of asphalt in motorsport will be marking its centenary. The Nürburgring is not just a venue for legendary cars and drivers, it’s a legend in its own right. It has hosted dramatic races, become a destination for petrolheads and is a development ground for Porsche sportscars and race cars.

This enduring legacy is why Porsche has chosen to build a limited edition 911 GT3 to honour the Nürburgring’s 100th birthday. Let’s meet the 911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring – and find out exactly what makes it special.

What’s the story behind the 911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring?

The 911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring – of which 100 vehicles will be made available for sale, exclusively for the German market – is a fitting homage to a racetrack that Robert Ader, CEO Porsche Deutschland, calls “our home ground”. “There’s a little bit of Nürburgring in every Porsche, especially in this edition,” says Ader.

There’s certainly no argument here, for Porsche has made the 20.8 km-long (13 miles) Nordschleife – which, along with the 5.1 km-long (3.2 miles) Grand Prix circuit, makes up the Nürburgring – an integral part of the company’s car-testing process for many years. Its unique layout and length, with its dips, crests and 73 corners, make the Nordschleife the perfect venue for endurance and function tests, with skilled Porsche development drivers at the wheel.

So, it’s no surprise that Porsche has created something special to mark such an important event in the circuit’s history, given the high regard it has for the Nürburgring. The 911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring is a fitting tribute.

The 911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring’s Green Hell-inspired exterior details

The Nürburgring is an icon of motorsport, and there’s certainly significant motorsport references in the 911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring. It begins with the visual impact the car makes, with customers offered the choice of two exterior colours – White and GT Silver Metallic.

The former is a nod to the classic, neutral colour that Porsche race cars are delivered to customers in, providing a blank canvas for team colours and sponsor branding. The other available colour, GT Silver Metallic, is inspired by Porsche Cup cars, which have graced the Nürburgring in their thousands over the years. And then there are the significant nods – and not just on the exterior, but inside the car too – to the famous nickname by which the Nordschleife is known worldwide, The Green Hell.

Eye-catching green accents and a front section and rear trim covered in a green wrap (which also serves as a protective film) are a reference to that nickname – first coined by racing legend Sir Jackie Stewart at the 1968 German Grand Prix, which was held at the circuit.

Elsewhere, the optional, colour-coordinated Manthey Kit further emphasises the motorsport character of the 911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring. With its modified suspension, optimised braking components and upgraded aerodynamics package, downforce is increased to 540 kg at 285 km/h (177 mph). It helped Ayhancan Güven – Porsche works driver and reigning DTM champion, the leading German saloon car championship – achieve a stunning lap time of 6 minutes 50.853 seconds on the Nordschleife.

Other significant motorsport-inspired details include a green tow lug – which can be fixed on the front or rear before heading onto a race circuit – and a racing start number (customisable from 0-999) on the bonnet, doors and rear window. Its unique typeface is no coincidence, either. It’s a stylistic nod to the graffiti that is dotted across the Nordschleife. Want more green? You’ll spot it on the upper and lower shells of the door mirrors.

And there are golden moments too, in the form of lightweight 20/21-inch (front/rear) 911 GT3 forged aluminium wheels painted in high-gloss California Gold, a colour that is also used on the B-pillar badge, with its ‘GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring’ inscription with Nürburgring track layout graphic. The inimitable circuit map also appears on both sides of the rear wing – in gold, of course.

Inside the 911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring

Open the doors of the 911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring and you’re met with an appropriate greeting – ‘Welcome to the Green Hell’, illuminated in White on the brushed aluminium black anodised door sill trims. Even the LED door projectors join in too, casting the track’s outline on the floor as you enter and exit the car.

There’s plenty more green to be seen here, inside, too – not least the rear roll cage, painted in Green. When it comes to the two lightweight sports bucket seats, there is a purposeful distinction, with Green reserved for the driver’s side, with a backing panel in this colour showing through the perforated seat centre panel and bolsters. The driver’s headrest features an embroidered Nürburgring track layout, with ‘GT3’ on the passenger side.

And there’s a subtle but meaningful take on the mode button on the steering wheel, with the words ‘Grüne Hölle’ (Green Hell, in German) and the push-to-pass button also in Green. High-gloss Green also appears on the dash panel while the gear markings, whether you choose the seven-speed PDK or six-speed manual transmission, are further picked out in Green.

911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring customers get an exclusive Sonderwunsch Manthey Experience

If ownership of this special car isn’t enough, each of the 100 customers also receive an exclusive Sonderwunsch Manthey Experience. It will offer a rare behind-the-scenes look at Manthey, the motorsport and performance specialist renowned for development of high-performance upgrades for Porsche GT models as well as running several Porsche race teams for the past three decades.

Based right next to the Nürburgring, the experience will allow the customers to learn more about the capabilities of the Manthey Kit in the presence of motorsport experts on the track itself.

Buyers can also order a matching Porsche Design Chronograph 1 watch. It features a titanium case, a rotor inspired by the car’s wheels, a historic Nürburgring logo and a perforated leather strap with green backing.
