The first fully-electrified Porsche car arrived in 2019 with the launch of the Taycan saloon. As of August 2025 there are now two model ranges that boast fully-electric cars, with the introduction of the Macan Electric models in 2024.They aren’t the first Porsche cars to feature electrification, however, with Porsche hybrid technology first appearing in the Panamera S Hybrid in 2011. In 2014, the first Cayenne to feature a hybrid engine was the Cayenne S E-Hybrid in 2014. Both model ranges continue to offer a variety of hybrid versions today. Meanwhile, in 2024, the first-ever 911 to feature electrification was unveiled in the form of the 911 Carrera GTS and 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet. These two models feature the new 911 T-Hybrid system, which is characterised by an outstanding balance of high performance and efficiency with low weight.All these Porsche models benefit from the convenience, performance and improved economy of electrified power. The Porsche model range with the largest selection of fully-electric cars is the Taycan. There are currently up to 22 different models available (depending on market). Originally launched featuring combustion engines, the Macan range expanded in 2024 to include four all-new, fully-electric models. The Cayenne, the sporty Porsche SUV, revealed its first hybrid version in 2014. The Panamera – the four-seater Porsche sportscar – launched in 2009, with the first hybrid models appearing in 2011. In 2024, Porsche revealed that the 911, that most iconic of sportscars, would launch an electrified version in the shape of the 911 Carrera GTS and 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet. Featuring its new T-Hybrid technology that was derived from Porsche motorsport vehicles, it combines all the visceral entertainment that you expect from the 911, with outstanding performance that is boosted by the breathtaking dynamics that an electrified drive provides.
